Competencies Required:
1. Good knowledge in material properties and applications.
2. Good knowledge in corrosion mechanisms and control.
3. Experienced in corrosion monitoring and management.
4. Knowledge in welding technology and various NDT methods.
5. Knowledge of petrochemicals business.
Qualifications:
1. Educational background:-Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering or related subject.levant experience in the oil, gas or petrochemical plants with at least 3 years in material & corrosion engineering.
3. Language proficiency: -Have ability to use English as the working language.
4. PC skills:-Proficient in PC
Principal Accountabilities:
Plans, coordinates, and supervise or executes cost-effective material and corrosion services to the manufacturing facilities.
1. Ensure compliance to HSE standards and requirements to make the plant a safe place to work in.
2. Lead in the Risk Based Inspection studies to detect or locate potential failure due to material degradation and/or corrosion and implement timely preventive measures.
3. Develop inspection and monitoring program that could predict equipment degradation.
4. Lead in failure analyses in order to find out the root causes and avoid recurrence of failure.
5. Plan and provide material and corrosion supports for activities that are shutdown related, general maintenance or new projects when required.
6. Provide training/coaching on material, corrosion and welding technology.
