A Dryco executive and an industrial painting project manager have been elected the newest members of SSPC’s Board of Governors, the association announced.
Two positions on the board were involved in the balloting: Other Product Suppliers and Coating Contractors.
The winner of the Other Product Suppliers seat is Jay Kranker, Western Regional Sales Manager for Dryco LLC. The Coating Contractors winner is Garry D. Manous, Senior Project Manager for Atsalis Brothers Painting.
Garry D. Manous (left) was elected to the SSPC Board of Governors, representing the Coating Contractors demographic. Jay Kranker (not pictured) will represent the Other Product Suppliers demographic on the board. L. Skip Vernon (right) was recently elected Vice President.
Both newly elected board members will serve a four-year term from July 1, 2013, to June 30, 2017.
Per the SSPC Bylaws, Manous was elected to his first full term after being appointed to complete the term of Robert Ziegler, whose demographic category changed in 2011.
Other Board News
L. Skip Vernon of CLT Inc. was also recently elected by the board to be Vice President. The election took place at a meeting in Herndon, VA. Vernon has served on the board since 2010 and will serve as SSPC President in 2015-16.
