We are looking for a Painting Supervisor for a manufacturing plant in Shanghai. Our client is a European listed company and is specializing in heavy steel structure products.
Painting Supervisor
Responsibilities
1. Lead the painting team
2. Keep close contact with other production lines and planners to schedule smooth painting plans to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
3. Setting up reasonable painting process and paint shop layout to improve painting capacity.
4. Have the highest focus on process quality and final quality, perform qualification works for each new project.
5. Maintain the costs as low as possible in every aspect (energy, consumables, labor consumption, wastes, reworks, etc.)
6. Work with maintenance department for all maintenance activities including maintaining painting facilities in perfect functioning state.
7. Recruit staff when needed, organize and supervisee internal or external trainings whenever necessary.
8. Ensure that the staffs are acting in compliance with the company rules and national/local laws and regulations
9. Be the main authority to ensure S + 5S in good condition in painting shop.
10. processes and chemicals will be chosen which are free of toxic and hazardous substances.
11. Take actions to follow the KPI targets.
Requirements
1. Engineering Background (Bachelor degree in corrosion protection of steel)
2. 5+ years management experience or supervision experience in painting production.
3. Strong technical knowledge in sandblast and painting.
4. Pragmatic technical skills, aptitude at finding simple solutions.
5. S+ 5S
6. Understand EN ISO 12944 1-8 (Corrosion protection of steel structures by protective paint systems)
7. Fluent English is a MUST
