Position: Technical Sales Support Senior Executive for Protective
Report to: Technical Sales Support Manager
Responsibilities:
Support the Protective Sales Department and Technical Service Department in China (focused on East China) with commercial and technical matters through joint customer/site visits, on-site inspections, technical assistance with enquiries & specifications and other tasks as assigned by the Technical Sales Support Manager.
· Support Protective Sales in China (with focus on East China) with technical information/advise and customer visits in the so-called pre- and after-sales stage.
· Assist Protective Sales with the preparation and approval of technically sound painting specifications.
· Assist Protective Sales and the customers with technical enquiries and coating application issues (on-site).
· Prepare and conduct (technical) presentations for the customers.
· Assist and cooperate with the Technical Sales Support team throughout China.
· Carry out on-site inspections and failure analysis with relation to product complaints.
· Support and assist the Technical Service Department with technical issues, if and when required.
· Carry out daily tasks as assigned by the Technical Sales Support Manager with diligence and dedication.
Requirements:
· College or University graduate (depending on position)
· Minimum 5 years (Executive) or 10 years (Senior Executive) experience in the Protective and/or Marine Coatings Industry
· Experience in the Energy, Infrastructure or Oil & Gas sectors is an advantage
· FROSIO, NACE or equivalent certification is desirable
· Computer literate
· Willingness to travel (though the job focus will be on East China, frequent travelling throughout China may be required)
· Excellent communication skills in Chinese and English (both written and spoken)
· Ability to work independently as a self-supportive individual, but also being able to cooperate and work within a team
