工业领域中对气候条件的监控，诸如温度、相对湿度、露点和潮湿度等，对于涂装作业是否成功是至关重要的。这些参数决定着涂装的条件，同时也影响着涂装后产品的质量和性能。
气候条件：Elcometer提供完整的露点仪和相对湿度计，温度计，数据记录仪，湿度计和风速计系列产品，以监控气候条件。
在保护性涂层行业，当表面温度足够低，可从空气中形成冷凝的时候，表面会出现潮湿。出现潮湿这一刻的温度就是露点温度（Td）。
监测表面温度（Ts）对应空气温度（Ta）和相对湿度 (%RH) ，可计算出露点温度，并和表面温度做比较。其温度之差(TΔ) 就是指示涂装是否安全的关键参数。

主要参照标准：ISO 8502-4，IMO MSC.215(82), IMO MSC.244(83) 该款仪器坚固耐用，用来测量和记录所有气候相关的参数，这些参数用来测定涂漆条件是否已经具备。- 一机两用： 分别用作手持式露点仪，和远程数据记录监控仪
